I’m not a very patient person. You can ask anyone who knows me; patience isn’t one of my strong suits. That period between what I think should have already happened and when it actually does happen can be one of the most stressful times for me as I simply wait. And yet, sometimes God chooses to make us wait. His answer to our prayers may not be “no”; sometimes it’s “not yet.” The period of waiting, I have learned, can often be God’s boot camp of preparation. There are times when we’re not actually ready for that thing we want so badly, and He needs to transform us into the person He wants us to be. In His time, He will lift us up out of the pit and out of the miry clay. Until then, it’s our responsibility to make the best of whatever situation we’re in – trusting that our heavenly Father, in His grace, has placed us there for His purposes. Take heart wherever you are. God knows, and He cares. And in His time, He will take you out of it. Until then, by His strength, wait patiently.
You are describing my life...
